mp3 "Yes It Is" by Kendra, age 14, 2016
"Yes It Is" is a song by The Beatles which was released on their 1988 compilation album Past Masters, Vols.  1 & 2.  For her rendition, Kendra decided to modify The Beatles' three-part harmonies, as well as the lengths and stresses of certain words, just to make things a bit more formal.  Kendra played all the instruments except for the drums, which was one of the many preset drumbeats on her Yamaha keyboard.

mp3 "Eight Days a Week" (mp3)
Eight Days a Week is a song by The Beatles, originally released on their 1964 album Beatles For Sale.  Kendra's version features all three of her newest guitars at the time of recording—a Hofner bass, an electric sitar, and a short-scale Avante twelve-string originally designed by Mr.  Joe Veillette.  There are no drums in Kendra's version, as she felt they were unnecessary

mp3 "Eleanor Rigby" by Kendra, age 13, 2016
"Eleanor Rigby" is a song originally released on The Beatles' 1965 album Revolver.  Unlike most of her renditions, Kendra only played an original motif during the "All the lonely people ..." sections utilizing the hammered dulcimer sound on her favorite keyboard, the Korg Kronos.  The remainder of the instrumentation was supplied courtesy of The Beatles themselves, as the isolated strings from "Eleanor Rigby" just so happened to be one of the tracks featured on the second part of The Beatles Anthology series; the strings were, and still are, the only memorable track from that series.

mp3 "Imagine" (mp3)
"Imagine" is an emotional ballad by John Lennon, released on his 1971 album Imagine. At first, you will probably think that the signature piano sound was stolen from the original recording itself, but it is the "Imagine" piano sound on the Korg Kronos, Kendra's favorite keyboard; the drums were also provided by the Kronos. For her rendition, Kendra only put strings in during the "You may say ..." sections. Kendra utilized a chorus effect on her vocals.

mp3 "Yesterday" (mp3)
"Yesterday" is a song by The Beatles taken from their 1965 album Help! For her rendition, Kendra utilized the "Let It Be" piano and the fretless bass sound from her favorite keyboard, the Korg Kronos, as well as her Gibson Les Paul guitar.  Kendra recorded four vocal tracks, creating a layered harmony effect throughout the song.

mp3 "Don't Bring Me Down" (mp3)
"Don't Bring Me Down" is a song by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), which was originally released on their 1979 album Discovery.  The drums heard in Kendra's rendition are a one-measure loop Kendra's father had stolen from the original recording, but the rest of the instrumentation was played by Kendra herself; the door closing at the very end of the track was also stolen from the original.  Vocally, Kendra recorded a three-part harmony and double-tracked each harmony for a fuller sound.

mp3 "Under One Sky" by Kendra age 8, 2010
"Under One Sky" is a song recorded by one of Kendra's former music teacher's friends, who supplied the backing track to this recording.  During the refrain, which begins "And when we look up ...", Kendra multitracked her voice to create a two-part harmony.  You may notice that Kendra's voice sounds significantly higher—this is because she was only eight when she recorded this.  You may also notice that "Under One Sky`s message is quite similar to that of John Lennon's "Imagine", which Kendra would cover several years later; that message is although we may face different challenges in how we live, we are all of equal importance.

mp3 "Dreamcatcher" by Kendra age 4, 2006
"Dreamcatcher" was the first recording Kendra ever made. Four years old at the time, Kendra did not know how to play any instruments, so her grandmother, now deceased, played the piano for her. Kendra multitracked her voice several times, creating a choir of little voices; Kendra giggles on some of the takes, but that is only because she is reacting to herself on previous takes.
